A fun song about the cheeky kea for primary school singing.
Verse 1
One day in the mountains a long time ago,
Some people went tramping where beech trees grow.
They left the door of the hut wide open.
Oh dear! Oh dear! And along came a kea to see what she could find.
Chorus
Kea, kea, ripping up the pillow,
Kea, kea, nipping at the food
Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum de dum de dum,
And off went the kea to see what she could find.

Moa Music was a school resource published in 1995 by Trio Publications. All songs were written by Anthony Ritchie or Suzanne Court. The book and sound track on cassette tape were produced by Suzanne Court and Paul Wheeler, with illustrations by Maria Mackay. The book is now long out of print but people are still asking for access to the songs.
