
A quirky but also soulful piece. Reasonably easy to play.
In 2018, the composer was approached by young oboist Noah Rudd to create a concerto version of the Oboe Sonata. The sonata itself had been re-arranged in 2002 from Anthony's Cartoon: Fantasy for Soprano Saxophone and Orchestra (written in 1996).
Rudd performed the concerto with the Auckland Youth Orchestra and also on tour, in Germany.
